Connecting to the Polygon Network

a. To use our dApp, you'll need to manually connect to the Polygon network. This shouldn't take more than a few minutes to complete. Before you do this, you'll need to open a MetaMask account and add the wallet as a chrome extension. More details on this can be found here. Should you prefer, a video tutorial for connecting to Polygon is also available.

b. Once you've got yourself set up, you will need to open your metamask wallet. Click on the circular profile graphic at the top right corner of the window and scroll until you see settings.

c. Click ‘Settings’ -> ‘Networks’ -> ‘Add network’.

d. You’ll be redirected to a new window where you’re required to fill out the network data.

i. Network Name: Polygon Mainnet

ii. New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com/

iii. Chain ID: 137

iv. Currency Symbol: MATIC

v. Block Explorer URL: https://polygonscan.com/

e. And click ‘Save’.

f. After you have clicked save your network should have updated automatically. If not, you can change networks in the dropdown menu at the top right of your window.

g. You should now be able to move onto the next step and mint a contract without encountering any errors
